Welcome to Badenoch & Strathspey Sports Council

Badenoch & Strathspey Sports Council exists to promote sport, publicise and promote events, encourage cooperation between sporting clubs and maximise the use of sports facilities in the local area.
Any sports club in the Strath is welcome to affiliate to the Sports Council. Individual membership is available for any sportsperson whose sport does not have a club in Badenoch/Strathspey.
Membership forms are available for download (available to registered users) or contact BSSC Secretary.

We are able to offer grants to member clubs.

SPORTS PERSONALITY AWARDS 2012/2013

We have started our yearly search for the valley’s sporting heroes and heroines and nominations are now being sought for the Annual Sports Personality of the Year 2012/13. A nomination form has been sent to all member clubs but if you wish to nominate anyone for the Junior Sports award, Senior Sports personality of the year, Coach of the year or Service to Sport award you can download the form in the downloads section. Nominations must be received by 19th April 2013 and the awards will be presented at the AGM on 21st May at the Cairngorm Hotel.

We are delighted that Dave Smith will be there to give a talk about his journey to winning Gold at the Para Olympics.
